Can energy be affordable, clean and sustainable?
Bulb does energy differently. With a single, straight-forward tariff, Bulb is a green gas and electricity supplier powered by 100% renewable energy. Bulb’s offering is simpler, cheaper and greener than the traditional energy offering.
Widespread clean and renewable energy, generated from natural sources such as sunlight, wind, tides and waves, is needed if we are to end our reliance on fossil fuels, which contribute to global warming. Bulb ensures that every unit of electricity its customers use originates from a pollution-free renewable source.
Every unit of electricity comes with an Ofgem accredited “Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin” (REGO) certificate. This confirms that the electricity supplied to households is matched with electricity generated from renewable sources. This guarantees zero carbon emissions and no radioactive waste.
In 2017, Bulb surpassed 250,0000 members who, by consuming only green energy are doing their bit to substantially increase the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.
This story shows how Bulb supports Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, specifically Target 7.2: “By 2030, increase substantially the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.”
Bulb Founders, Hayden and Amit previously worked in the energy industry. Unhappy with traditional energy providers, citing their inefficiency, poor service, bad tariffs and lack of transparency, they left to start up Bulb. Bulb is a fair and open energy company.
