Why digital technology?
Digital technology describes the increasing information intensity and connectedness of physical resources. It includes the tools, systems and services that support the generation, collection, storage, sharing and analysis of data. Therefore, digital technology can help improve access and participation and can reduce the cost and delivery of essential services. Arm know from experience that digital solutions can help to address the Global Goals and are encouraging others to do the same.
The world in 2030
It would have been hard to imagine in the early 2000s what life would be like in 2018, prior to widespread internet access and smartphone technology. To envision the world in 2030 requires a view of the opportunities available, whilst also recognising the risks and challenges. However, through partnerships, Arm aims to make the world in 2030 a radically better place.
This story shows Arm supports Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, specifically Target 17.16: “enhance the global partnership for sustainable development complemented by multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technologies and financial resources to support the achievement of sustainable development goals in all countries, particularly developing countries”
